The Cresco SDV ( *1 ) Laboratory at the Embedded Systems Research Center, Graduate School of Informatics, Nagoya University, has established the Open SDV Initiative to contribute to the realization of the Mobility DX Strategy ( *2 ) announced by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in May 2024, and has begun work on developing vehicle APIs ( *3 ), which are important for SDVs.

Our Technology Business Division is participating in the "Open SDV Initiative" established by Nagoya University, and will work with Nagoya University and participating companies to create new value for automobiles.

*1 SDV (Software Defined Vehicle): A vehicle equipped with software that controls the vehicle using two-way communication between the vehicle and the outside world. Through the software, functions can be expanded and performance can be improved even after the vehicle is sold.

* 2Mobility DX Strategy : A strategy to respond to the DX of mobility, considered and formulated by the Mobility DX Study Group of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
